Design Process.

I review now to best determine a business / operator’s brand into a visual identity. Starting with brainstorming, research, and ideation - to find a direction that aims to not only be a visual representation, but a unique brand aesthetic that will support being rolled-out to differing platforms.

Background.

With my early education in picturesque Picton NZ, I nurtured my creative aspirations by designing and making outfits for my Barbie dolls, creating my own magazine inspired by the truly outrageous Jem TV show fashion trends, and day-dreaming about sci-fi costuming from watching Krull, Star Trek & Dr Who.

I went on to complete a Diploma in Fashion and Textile Design; which led to a diverse resume over fifteen years - dressmaking, fashion retail management, operational support, banking and small business services.

Most recently, I graduated Shillington Graphic Design College, and continue to stay up-to-date with my design practices by attending seminars, conferences and workshops. My colleagues value my initiative, work ethic, creativity and attention to detail.

In short, I'm a hardworking, crafty sci-fi fan whose happy working creatively in a team, or as easily, in self-directed freelance projects.

Since 2018 I have been in-house designer for FMCG businesses, and completing a number of free-lancing projects.
